(Cushing, Okla.) — A 37-year-old Shidler man was charged today with intentionally driving his Dodge truck onto the Cushing golf course — resulting in $4,000 damage on June 6.
Clifford Courtney Jenkins was also charged with reckless driving by accelerating his truck from the Buffalo Rock Golf Course “nearly hitting numerous people before running into a ditch,” on Ninth Street on June 6.
Jenkins was advised by letter a warrant would be issued for his arrest on the two-count charge if he does not voluntarily appear in Payne County District Court by July 2, court records show.
If convicted of felony malicious injury to golf course property, Jenkins could be given as much as a one-year jail term and a $500 fine, court records show.
If convicted of reckless driving, which is a misdemeanor, Jenkins could be given as much as a 90-day jail term and a $500 fine, court records show.
