Sharon Elaine Reed, a longtime Agra resident, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 67. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.,Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the First Church of God in Ripley, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Ok.
Sharon was born on July 15, 1947 in Cushing, Oklahoma to the late Gleason Wesley and Jeannetta Alene (Harper) Roe. She grew up in the Agra area, and graduated from Agra High School in 1965, Sharon married the love of her life Genearle Wayne Reed on June 11, 1966. To this union three children were born Michael, Steven, and Jeannetta, shortly after their marriage Wayne was drafted into the United States Army and was separated from his new bride for three month, and then was transferred to Washington D.C. where he served for 22 months, not knowing what they were going to do in Washington D.C., together they done the best they knew and she stayed by his side throughout it all. Sharon enjoyed cooking, she was one of the best cooks around, she also enjoyed camping (NO TENTS, ONLY CAMPERS), together her and Wayne enjoyed decorating cakes, and most of all she loved spending time with her grand children and great-grandchildren. Sharon was a CNA, for home health care for many years, taking care of those who needed her even when she herself was sick.
Sharon is survived by her husband Wayne Reed of Agra, two sons: Michael Reed and wife Starla of Davenport, Steven Reed of the Home, one daughter: Jeannetta Stipe of Perkins, four brothers: Ronnie Roe of Agra, Gary Roe and wife Carolyn of Agra, James Roe and wife Renee of Agra, and Richard Roe and wife Patty of Agra, five grandchildren: Melissa Butcher and husband Kyle of Cushing, Walter BoBo of Agra, Michael BoBo of Agra, Tristan Reed of Davenport, Demtri Welsh of Norman, two Great-grandchildren: Kyler Butcher of Cushing, Christina BoBo of Agra.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Earl Wayne Roe.
