(Cushing) – Tornado sirens sounded in Cushing about 8:40 PM Thursday, as residents scrambled for shelter from the high winds and hail. The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for Northern Lincoln County and Southeastern Payne County that included Cushing, Agra and Avery. Baseball sized hail was reported just southwest of Cushing near the Cimarron Correctional Facility, and golf ball sized hail fell inside the city limits. No major damages were reported. Storm spotters reported a lowering near Avery, but there were no reports of tornado touchdowns with the storm.

A tornado touchdown was reported southeast of Glencoe, that storm later dropped tornadoes near Pawnee and Ralston.

A second storm rolled through about 12:30 and again brought small hail.
