Tony Vaughn, Sertco’s Production
Manager and Safety Coordinator shares facts about compressions and the superior quality and reliability of Sertco compressors and what role they play in the oil industry.
To those of us in Cushing and the surrounding areas the oilfield has been our “bread & butter.” After talking to Tony, it was realized that with Sertco compressors one can “milk that well for all its worth.”
I have to admit that while interviewing Tony, I was wishing I knew as much about compression and oilfield as Snookie Taylor, Jay Copple, or other folks I know. Even so, I had very nice portfolio of the company – with pictures – to guide me along during the interview. In girl talk, we learned Sertco can put the “jam on your bread & butter” and that they have “free tasting” available.
I’ve been to Sertco myself, which is located on 100 Sertco Drive, in Okema. The company and the machine shop are both very impressive. I always tease Tony, that the machine shop where the assembly line is located, is so clean you could almost eat off the floor.
Here’s a little history:
Sertco Industries began as Aerospace Manufacturing and Engineering in 1979 in Okeema OK. Sertco began designing oilfield compressors in the energy department of Aerospace in 1998. At that time Sertco built several electric compressors designed for applications of coal bed methane, shipping them to many states, including New Mexico, California and Virginia just to name a few. One of the first 80 electric compressors was sold right here in Oklahoma – all 80 are still running today with very little down time.
An engineer from Exxon Mobile approached Sertco about designing a gas operation compressor for conventional wells and Sertco began customizing compressors. Exxon wanted explosion proof compressors and Sertco is to this day their exclusive compressor company and are a leader in the highest safety standards.
Current clients include BP, Conoco, Shell, HilCorp and many others. Sertco’s standard compressors, designed for safety and run time are currently running all over the United States and many other countries world wide. Their safety features and engineering are accepted in the US and worldwide. Sertco also provides compressors to benefit the more marginal wells across the US with well-known companies such as Altex, Marjo, Brittney, Huntington, G & C, Special Energy and many others. To meet growing environmental concerns Sertco is currently designing vapor recovery systems including H2S gas systems, to fit each company’s special needs. Sertco are innovative, continuing to design, upgrade and modify compressors to meet their clients specific needs and challenges offering the highest possible production..
Sertco currently offers a 7 day free trial with no delivery charge and no return charge. (thus the “free tasting”) Tony Vaughn will personally appear and diagnose your well conditions. Call
