(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing woman who has pleaded guilty to five counts of second-degree forgery has been ordered to appear in court on Oct. 7 for her sentencing, which was originally scheduled for Sept. 16.
Kathleen Audrey Porter, 38, admitted that she passed two forged checks, one for $325 and another for $250, on a Cushing man’s account to a bailbondsman to get a relative out of the Creek County Jail on May 6.
Porter also admitted that she passed two forged checks, one for $554 and another for $293, on the same Cushing man’s account to a grocery store in Stillwater on May 6.
Porter also admitted that she delivered a forged check for $87 on a Stillwater woman’s account to a convenience store in Glencoe on June 17.
Porter has a plea bargain to be placed on five years of probation conditioned on her serving 45 days in jail and paying $200 in fines, in addition to making complete restitution, court records show.
