(Cushing, Okla.)  Eleven year old Abby Jones thinks the second time may be the charm to win the title of Cushing Rodeo Queen.

Not only has Abby gotten another year under her belt since her first attempt at earning the rodeo queen title, but she has continued to work toward her goal of one day becoming a veterinarian by joining 4-H.  This past year she showed pigs with one of her best friends, and 2010 Cushing Rodeo Queen, Hailey Lacy.  She and her brother Brian share the responsibility of taking care of all the family animals: 4 horses, 3 dogs, some chickens, 2 Belted Galloway heifers and a herd of black cows.  Abby hopes to show her Belted Galloway heifers this coming year.

Just finishing the fifth grade, Abby has continued her home schooling through Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy and has a 4.0 GPA.  She is an active member at  Drumright Round-Up Club Playdays where she competes in Barrels, Flags and Poles.  Abby enjoys riding horses, playing with her dogs and swimming.

Abby is the daughter of Brian and Dana Jones and the little sister of Brian.  To purchase Rodeo tickets from Abby, stop by Mullins Salvage Inc, located on Highway 33 between Cushing and Drumright.

Abby will be a guest on the Donna & Molly Show, Wednesday, July 10 at 8 a.m.  Tune in to 1600 KUSH radio.
