“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens…”                          Ecclesiastes 3:1

I remember a time from my childhood when we would rake the fallen leaves in the yard into a pile during the fall months.  We would then lay down the rake, create a distance between ourselves and the leaves, and run and jump into the pile.  In more recent years I’ve run though fallen leaves with my children.  The color of the leaves as the seasons change is a beautiful time of year.

Just like the seasons of the year change, there is constant change in our lives.  We can be encouraged when we remember the one thing in life that never changes — God.  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

When we place our trust in Him, the storms of life and seasons of change are easier to weather.  As the seasons of the year change, God’s love endures forever.

Prayer for the day: God, I praise You because Your love is everlasting.
