(Cushing, Okla.) Three runners from Cushing will be participating in a Run for a Cure this morning (Saturday, July 24, 2010) to show their support for Karen Baker and her family. The 65 mile relay starts in Tulsa and ends in Stillwater.
Ten miles of the relay, between Norfolk Rd and Bethel Rd. on SH 51, were designated as the “Karen Baker Route”. Runners Jaime Griffith, Katrina Griffeth and Jennifer Young arrived at the intersection of SH 18 and SH 51 at approximately 10:30 a.m. to prepare for their part of the relay.
Jaime began the relay at SH 51 and Norfolk Rd and handed off to Katrina at the intersection at approximately 11:30 a.m. Jennifer finished off their part of the relay at Bethel Rd and SH
Supporters came out with signs and good spirits to cheer the runners on.
