Funeral services for Drumright resident, Ruby Hoggatt, were held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 in the Drumright First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Braiser & Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Interment followed in Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery with Brian Hoggatt, Gary Hoggatt, Ray Hoggatt, David Patterson, Bobby Scott, & Frank Hart serving as casket bearers. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Ruby L. Hoggatt was born in Seminole, OK on August 26, 1931 to the late Charles H. Hart & Katherine (Evans) Hart. She passed from this life in Cushing on July 31, 2012 at the age of 80 years, 11 months, & 5 days. Ruby moved to Drumright with her family at age 5 & had remained there the rest of her life. She married Billy Gene Hoggatt on August 12, 1949 in the Free Will Baptist Church & they remained together until his death in 2009. She was a longtime member of the Drumright First Free Will Baptist Church & was an avid OSU fan, unlike her husband whom was an avid OU fan.
Her remaining family includes her SON: Danny Hoggatt of Drumright; GRANDCHILDREN: Heath & Jennifer Hoggatt of Olive – Matthew Hoggatt of Bristow – Misti Buntin of Cushing; GREAT Grandchildren: Hunter, Morgan, Amy, & Tyler; a SISTER: Emily Patterson of Drumright. Also numerous other relatives, & friends.
