Royce Lee Juneau age 78 of Cushing passed away on Sunday, July 27 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Ok. Wake will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 30, 2014 at the First Indian Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 31, 2014 at the First Indian Baptist Church, Cushing, OK. Burial will follow in the Stroud Tribal Cemetery.

Royce was born on December 28, 1935 in Browning, Montana to Charles and Juanita (Adkins) Farmer. He grew up in Montana, graduating from high school in Montana. After high school, he attended Haskell Institute in Lawrence, KS and then attended S.E. O.S.U. He was a dean at Jones Academy at Hartshorne, OK in 1957-1965. He then moved to Texas and worked as a machinist in 1976, then became a security guard (Light Horseman) Creek Nation for 2 years. Royce served in the Marines during the Korean conflict. He also worked as an Instructional Counselor and in Construction. He loved to Ride bulls at the Rodeo. That is where he met his future wife Karen. Royce married Karen Ellis on August 22, 1978 and moved to Cushing. He enjoyed ballgames and was an O.U. fan. He also loved to coach little league and play with his grandchildren.
Royce is survived by his wife Karen of the home, son; Doug Juneau of Okmulgee, OK., daughters; Lisa Richardson and husband Steve of Okmulgee, OK., Janet Juneau of Okmulgee, Rhonda Juneau and husband Eddie of Coweta, OK., Stacy Juneau of Cushing, OK., Tracy Juneau of Muskogee, OK., step-daughter; Cheryl Tiger of Cushing, OK. step-son; Randy Tiger of Cushing, OK., son/grandson Leo Martinez of Fargo, N.D., brother; Loren Farmer of Albuquerque, NM., sister; Lorraine Francis of WA., 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Royce was preceded in death his parents, sons Dennis Juneau and Royce Lanette Juneau, step-daughter LaDawna Pennock, brother Dale Adkins one grand-daughter Melanie Parker.
