Members of the Cushing Chamber of Commerce and other well-wishers were out in full force Tuesday, Dec. 1st for a ribbon cutting ceremony held at the Grand Opening of Root’s Hometown Furniture & Appliance.
There were several lucky folks winning prizes at the Grand Opening: Tamera Skinner won a new flat screen TV; Douglas Stephenson won a beautiful curio cabinet; Chris Pixler was the winner of a recliner; and Mildred Cannon won a queen mattress set!
Rick and Linda Root (pictured holding the scissors) are the owners of Cushing’s most recent new business as well as Hometown Furniture in Bristow.
