The Cushing Police Department wants to remind you that the Cushing Community Rodeo is happening tonight and Saturday at the rodeo grounds located at the intersection of Linwood and Pine Streets. The rodeo will begin at 8:00 p.m. nightly.
In addition to the rodeo, there will be a Downtown Roundup Family Festival Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Centennial Park located in the 100 blk E. Broadway Street. The event will feature turtle races, martial arts demonstrations, a cute kids contest, and stick horse races.
While attending these great events in our community, the department encourages you to:
1. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids because of the current heat advisory.
2. Make sure you secure your car while attending the event.
3. Vehicle traffic may be heavy so drive with caution!
4. Pedestrian traffic may be heavy so please watch out for citzens walking in parking lots and crossing the street in the event areas.
