Ripley’s annual Pioneer Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014.  The theme for this year’s celebration is “From the Red Dirt Up”.

The “Class of 1964” will be this years Honored Class.  We would like for all Alumni Classes to enter something in the parade to celebrate their years spent at Ripley School and prove that their class was the best ever to attend RHS.

We are welcoming parade entries, there is no entry fee and prize money is offered in 3 areas, School, Bands, and Open.  First place prize in all areas is $100, second place $50.  Come to Ripley, enter the parade, set up a booth for a $25 fee, and join in the fun.

Activities being planned for the day include the parade at 10:30 a.m., music in the park performed by many talented entertainers, kiddie games, BACA tent, Ripley Fire Department activities, vendors and food booths, pony rides, bingo, face painting, sand pile money dig, pop toss and much more.

There is an Alumni Banquet at 6:30 p.m.and the street dance will begin at 9:00 p.m. with Golden Reflection DJ’s of Cushing.  Plan to come and join the fun.

To sign up for the parade or a booth, or for more information phone Lynda Grimes at 918-372-4570, or email: [email protected].
