Rick was a loving person, devoted Christian and generous to those in need.  He had a big heart that extended far beyond his family. Rick was compassionate, care giving, and a man of character. He was born on April 3, 1952 in Yale, Oklahoma, the son of Frank and the late Bobbie (Grubb) Turner. His childhood was spent in Yale where he attended school, graduating in 1970. He was a long time member of the Yale Baptist Church and was saved in 1979.

Rick enjoyed music and spent a great deal of time involved in that hobby. He used to play regularly at Cain’s Ballroom as a session drummer and singer, and was once offered to tour with Roy Clark fulltime as his drummer. Rick loved his community and spent countless hours volunteering. He was currently working on the annual June Noble Rodeo to be held on July, 31st and August, 1st. He was an officer for the Yale Chamber of Commerce, and had previously served on the Yale School Board and gave many hours to the school organizing fund raisers. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and family. More than anything he was a loving, extremely proud, caring husband, father, and grandfather.
