(Cushing, Okla.) Members of the First Christian Church – Disciples for a Cure, Relay for Life team – are setting out on a journey next Saturday, April 28th – a journey of reflection.
The journey will start bright and early on the 28th in Mannford and will continue to Cushing as several team members walk to raise money and awareness for Relay for Life.
Other members will join the walkers in Drumright (at approximately 3:30 p.m.) to show their support. Anyone wishing to walk with the team are welcome to do so.
Event coordinator and walker Joyce Abrams said, “If you are unable to walk, you can still help. You can make a donation, hold up signs supporting the walkers.”
Abrams also encouraged anyone with friends and/or family members who are currently fighting the fight or have lost their lives to cancer, may leave those names on the Step by Step – Seeking a Cure – Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/129000157223642/
“Leave their name on the event page and with every mile, we will remember them,” Abrams said.
