Annual Campaign Supports Meals for Thousands of Children in Oklahoma Facing Food Insecurity.
(OKLAHOMA CITY) – Oct. 14, 2026 – The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Food for Kids Match campaign raised $1,229,741 to fight childhood hunger in central and western Oklahoma.
These generous donations will help to provide more than 3.4 million meals to the Regional Food Bank’s four Food for Kids Programs: the Backpack Program, School Pantry Program, Kids Café and Summer Feeding Program.
“The Regional Food Bank’s Food for Kids Programs are some of the most critical programs we offer,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “These donations ensure that each student comes to school nourished and ready to learn. We are so grateful for the generosity of the donors who help us make this happen each year.”
Thanks to the generosity of the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma, Expand Energy, Mark and Beth Brewer, Dolese Bros, Energy Transfer and David and Lezlie Hudiburg, every donation made to the Food for Kids Programs between August and September was matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $285,000.
“The Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma is pleased to show its support for the communities of Oklahoma through our support for the Food for Kids Match,” said John Logan, executive director of the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma. “We extend our thanks to the matching sponsors and donors who continue to make this program possible.”
For the fifth year, KOCO 5 News joined as the official television sponsor of the match, featuring stories that highlight the impact of the Food for Kids Programs.
