(Cushing, Okla.)  She’s a hometown girl and now she’s the 2014 Secretary of the Year.  Rebecca Toops was honored at the annual Secretary’s Day Luncheon held at the First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Toops was described by her employer, Don Ethridge, Managing Partner at CBEW Professional Group, as exemplifying the character and personality that all employers like to see in their employees.  “She’s dedicated, exerts a positive attitude, shows up to work timely, seldom takes off, and makes sure that she does whatever it takes to meet the deadlines of our office,” the letter stated.

Walter Webb, host of the annual event and part of the CBEW team, said, “I’m so pleased to be able to present this award to one of our own staff.”

Toops received a dozen red roses and a plaque proclaiming her “Secretary of the Year, 2014.”

Nomination letters are sent to a selection committee outside of Cushing.  This is the tenth year for the Cushing Public School Foundation to host the Secretary’s Day Luncheon.

Keeping with this year’s “Red Dirt” theme, Red Dirt recording artist Brandon Jackson performed for the event.
