(Cushing) – Election Day 2008 has arrived and election officials expect heavy turnout around the country and around the state. In-Person absentee voters swamped election board offices over the three day filing period, with more than 3000 votes cast over the three day period, more than 1700 on Friday alone. Another 900 cast ballots on Saturday.
Voters in Cushing who previously cast votes at Deep Rock School will vote today at the Elks Lodge located at Highway 33 and Norfolk Road on the East side of Cushing.
Polls will be open until 7:00 PM, and you can hear live coverage of the election returns on KUSH Radio tonight, and election results will be posted here on 1600kush.com as soon as they become available.
