At 8:40 p.m. Thursday, Cushing Police reported investigating three car burglaries in less than four hours with each burglary resulting in the breaking of a car window.
Earlier Thursday afternoon, police had investigated a similar crime, but at the time, there had been no sequence of crimes reported. In addition to a window being broken out at each crime scene, items were taken out of the vehicles burglarized.
As of Thursday evening, police have investigated vehicle burglaries in the 600 block of E. Moses Street, and the 900 block of E. Main Street.
Residents are encouraged to make sure that their vehicles are locked, parked in a well-lit area, and ensure that valuables are removed or placed out of view before leaving their vehicle unattended. Residents are also encouraged to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhood by calling the police department at (918) 225-1212. Residents who suspect a crime may be in progress are encouraged to dial 911! Remember, if it does not look right or sound right, the police department encourages you to call.
