Randy Morris Shipp, Perkins resident and retired truck driver, passed away at his home Friday morning, May 8, 2009, at the age of 63 years.
    The son of the late Forrest D Shipp and Betty Ann Phelps, Randy was born on November 27, 1945 in Atoka, OK and was reared and educated in Texas and California.
    He was united in marriage to Darla Sue Gatlin in 1970 in Las Vegas, NV.
    Randy served in the United States Army for 4 years, serving in Germany.
    He enjoyed wood working, working on cars, gambling, being outdoors and spending time with his family, and had worked for the Burkey Creamery for over 20 years.
    Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Darla, of the home; three daughters, Tina Starling and her husband Tony of Agra, Tara Davison and her husband Ray of Agra and Lisa Maria Morgan; one son, Travis Shipp and his wife Jennifer of Perkins; fifteen grandchildren; one brother, Doug Shipp of Agra; two sisters, Diane Collins of Hanford, CA and Kathy McAlexander of CA., and other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Cody Lumpkin and one brother, Greg Allen Shipp.
    Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Tryon Cemetery with Reverend Marvin Skinner officiating.
    The family would like to thank Carter Healthcare and Carter Hospice for the care they have provided and would like memorial contributions to be made to the Carter Hospice, 2324 W. Owen K. Garriott Road, Enid OK  73731, in honor of Randy.
