Randall Vickers, retired carpenter from Oklahoma State University and longtime resident of Yale, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2008 in Tulsa at the age of 49 years.

The son of the late Robert E. Vickers and Thelma McKnight Vickers, Randall was born on December 24, 1958 in Stillwater, OK and was reared and educated in the Ripley area, graduating from Ripley High School. While in High School he was very active in the F.F.A. and enjoyed taking care of livestock.

Randall went to work for O.S.U. following school and had worked in the Physical Plant as a carpenter prior to his retirement.

He spent much of his time with arts and crafts and was always making something to either sell or give as a gift. Making wind chimes was one thing he was noted for.

Survivors include an aunt Daisy Adams, whom help care for him since the death of his father, and several other aunts and uncles in this area; several cousins, Jerry Adams and his wife Trina of Oilton, Linda Martin and her husband Al of Tyler, TX, and other relatives and friends and especially his close friends from work.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles, including Gene Adams, and Harry and Ruby McKnight.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 10 A.M. in the Glenwood Cemetery at Perkins.

Randall will lie in state at the Davis Funeral Home in Cushing from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday.
