STILLWATER — A Perkins man was ordered into a prison boot camp program Thursday for giving marijuana to a 14-year-old girl and having sex with the underage girl in a Stillwater trailer where he was then staying.

Sean Phillip Gillen, 22, remained in the Payne County Jail Friday pending his transportation to state prison, Sheriff Noel Bagwell said.

Gillen, who has been jailed for more than nine months on $100,000 bail, pleaded guilty to a four-count charge Thursday before District Judge Donald Worthington, who ordered him into the Regimented Inmate Discipline (RID) program, court records show.

Worthington set formal sentencing for Oct. 3, when Gillen could be released from custody or given as much as a life prison term plus 17 years, court records show.

Gillen was charged last summer with delivery of marijuana to a juvenile, second-degree rape, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing an officer by telling him the 14-year-old runaway was not in his residence.

Gillen was arrested on July 9 at a trailer on East Sixth Street by Stillwater Police Officer Charles Murphy, who was sent there on a report that a runaway was staying at that residence, an affidavit said.

The 14-year-old girl said that she had met Gillen a few days before at the Stillwater YMCA, according to an affidavit by Stillwater Police Detective Les Little.

The girl, who said she told Gillen on two occasions she was 14, said he invited her to come to his trailer to watch movies, the affidavit said. The girl said that she had sex with Gillen, the affidavit said.

The girl was found in Gillen’s bedroom where a marijuana cigarette was still burning in an ashtray along with other marijuana roaches on Gillen’s nightstand next to his bed, the affidavit said.

The girl told police that Gillen had given her marijuana to smoke that was rolled in a cigar wrapper, the affidavit said.
