Peggy Elaine McCaslin a longtime resident of Cushing passed away on November 28, 2014 at the OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday December 3, 2014 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing, Oklahoma Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing.
Peggy was born June 22, 1955 to the late Ralph McCaslin and Floria (Hopkins) Todd. Peggy grew up in Cushing and traveled to many different places in her young life attending various schools. Peggy received her GED in her early 40’s and went on to receive her LPN certification in January 2004; graduating the TOP of her class. Peggy enjoyed reading and her dog Daisy, but most of all she loved taking care of people. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a joy to be around. Peggy was always mindful of others and their feelings, she had a big heart and was a down to earth lady who loved caring for people.
Peggy is survived by one daughter, Joanna Thornton and husband Joel and two grand children Emma and Samantha of Texas. One brother: Larry McCaslin and wife Kelley King of Oklahoma City, one sister: Debbie Haygens of Edmond, one step-brother: Russell Todd and wife Susan of Cushing, two step-sisters: Sharon Wallis and husband Chris of Cushing, Debra Courson and husband Randy of California, Step-father Norman Todd and mother Floria (Hopkins) Todd, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father Ralph McCaslin, one brother in-law: Ronnie Haygens, one step- brother: Rick Todd.
