(Stillwater, Okla.) — A 53-year-old man has been jailed on $150,000 bail on charges of sexually abusing two girls, to whom he is related, at his residence in rural Payne County.
William Daniel Turner could be given two life prison terms if convicted of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl between the ages of 7 and 12, and her 11-year-old sister this year.
Turner was arrested by Payne County Sheriff’s Investigator Lew Kellison on Nov. 8 at his residence, according to an affidavit. Turner has been ordered to have no contact with the girls and to appear in court on Tuesday to have a preliminary hearing scheduled.
According to a petition for an emergency protective order obtained by the girls’ mother on Nov. 9, the 13-year-old told her she had been sexually touched by Turner for several years. When the mother separately asked the 11-year-old if anything had happened to her, “She said yes, but please don’t tell him,” the petition alleged.
The mother wrote in her petition, “I then called Payne County to come haul him to jail.”
Both girls disclosed that they had been sexually abused by Turner, when they were interviewed at the Saville Center in Stillwater on Nov. 8, the investigator alleged in his affidavit.
