(Stillwater, Okla.) — Session two of the Payne County Leadership Connections class got underway yesterday with students and instructor Suzette Barta meeting up for lunch at the Steer Inn Family Restaurant (Cushing). From there, the group traveled on to Plains Marketing L.P. where a tour of the facility was given. (Plains Marketing L.P. is a crude oil storage business that is located on land in both Payne and Lincoln Counties here in Oklahoma) Plains moves millions of barrels of crude through the facility located in Payne and Lincoln Counties per a month.
Next the class went to the Cushing Chamber of Commerce on Main Street where Chamber Director Brent Thompson and staff offered refreshments and a short class and briefing on the town of Cushing and its industry and attributes.
Finishing out session two of the Payne County Leadership Connections class a stop at Centennial Park (a pocket park) downtown Cushing.
