STILLWATER, Okla. – The Payne County Health Department is offering extended hours for childhood immunizations before the back-to-school rush. Both health department locations in Payne County will stay open late to meet the increased demand and accommodate the schedules of working parents. Dates for extended hours are:
July 29 – Stillwater, open until 7 p.m.
July 31 – Cushing, open until 7 p.m.
“We’re helping parents check things off their back-to-school list and avoid feeling rushed before the first day,” said Coordinating Nurse Lisa Hall. “These extended hours will also allow the health department to serve more families in Payne County.”
Parents or legal guardians must accompany all children under 18 years old and bring a valid ID, as well as an insurance card if applicable. Children up to 18 years old are eligible to receive vaccines at no cost through the Vaccine for Children program if they are Medicaid-eligible, uninsured, Native American Indian, or if their insurance policy does not cover vaccines.
Please review the childhood immunizations guide to learn if your child needs an immunization before the new school year.
