(Cushing, Okla.)—Cushing Lions Club members were fortunate enough to have guest/speaker Glenna Craig, Payne County Clerk.

Craig, Payne County Clerk, has been in county government for 30 years with 23 of those years having been secretary of elections and 2 of those years as chief deputy assessor. Prior to working county government she was a licensed abstracter.

Craig, a native of Stillwater, lives with her husband of 30 years Gordy Craig. Gordy and Glenna have 2 children, and 1 son in-law.

Craig’s main job as Payne County Clerk is keeping records for the county, including real estate records (mortgages, deeds, public notices, etc.), and being the custodian of all county school records (which they are working to digitize at this time). The Payne County Clerk’s office is the chief budget office for the county.

To visit with Glenna Craig you can stop by the Payne County Clerk’s office at 315 West 6th Avenue or call 405-747-8310.
