(Stillwater, Okla.) Richard Hawkins, director for the Distinguished Young Women of Payne County Scholarship Program, has announced entries are now being accepted. Deadline: Dec. 15, 2011
Formerly known as Payne County Junior Miss, the Distinguished Young Women of Payne County Scholarship Program will be held on March 10, 2012 at the Stillwater Community Center.
Participants must be Payne County residents and in the 11th grade in high school (graduating in May 2013), whether in public, private, or home schooled.
Participants compete in Talent, Interview, Scholastics, Fitness, and Self-Expression.
Rehearsals begin Jan. 15, 2012 and will be held each Sunday from 3 – 5 p.m.

Anna-Marie Ahrberg, Cushing, is the current reigning Distinguished Young Woman of Payne County and Oklahoma. She will be competing for the national title this spring. Ahrberg is a senior at Cushing High School.
