(Cushing, Okla.) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported there was a traffic accident at 4:20 (PM) on February 15 (2015) out on SH 15, 0.3 miles west of CR 34600, located 1.7 miles west and 5 miles north of Pawnee, city limits (Pawnee County).

Nicole Danielle Cash (24) of Pawnee was driving a 2005 Jeep Cherokee eastbound on SH15, when the Jeep Cherokee departed the roadway left for an unknown reason, going down an embankment, striking a creek bank, then traveling up the bank, impacting a pipe fence, then rolling one time, before coming to rest on the fence.

Cash was transported by LIfeflight to St. John’s Medical Center (Tulsa) where she is reported to be in stable condition with trunk internal and trunk external injuries. Cash’s passenger whose name has been withheld due to being a juvenile was 5 months of age, and was also from Pawnee. The juvenile was transported by ambulance to the Pawnee Hospital, where they were pronounced  deceased from a head injury. The juvenile was then transported to Poteet Funeral Home in Pawnee.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol seat-belts were in use and a Child Restraint was equipped, but it is unknown if it was in use.
