(Stillwater, Okla.) — A patient accused of indecent exposure in the Stillwater Medical Center’s emergency room has been jailed on $25,000 bail pending a Monday court appearance when he can seek a preliminary hearing.
Franklin Charles Smith, 51, of Wyandotte, Mich., was given a court-appointed attorney to represent him on the felony charge, which carries as much as a 10-year prison term and a $20,000 fine on conviction.
Smith, who was also charged with public intoxication in the emergency room, unzipped his pants and allegedly fondled himself on his hospital bed while his room door was open, according to court records.
