(Stillwater, Okla.) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has reported that there was a traffic accident yesterday afternoon (February 10, 2015) on US 177 and 68thabout 3:28 (pm). The accident occurred about 4 miles south of Stillwater, City Limits in Payne County.
Freeman L. Dilbeck (81) of Stillwater was driving a 2010 Ford F150 southbound while Ryan E. Crenshaw (23) of Perkins was driving a 1986 Yamaha X7S motorcycle northbound, Dilbeck’s vehicle made a turn left in front of Crenshaw’s Yamaha, the Yamaha was reported to be speeding at the time of the accident. The vehicle Dilbeck was driving was struck on the passenger side.
According to the OHP report Dilbeck was not injured in the accident. Crenshaw was transported by EagleMed to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in stable condition with head and trunk internal injuries.
The collision was reportedly caused by failing to yield when turning left to oncoming traffic and unsafe speed.
