(Stillwater, OK) — Oklahoma Community Credit Union’s Board of Directors and employees are excited to announce the groundbreaking for its new branch office located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, which is scheduled for February 17, 2022.
As the credit union’s first new facility in more than 25 years, and its second location with a drive-thru in Stillwater, this new branch office introduces current and future credit union members to a fresh new banking experience uniquely branded to embody Oklahoma Community Credit Union’s vision and values, which are closely aligned with the credit union’s mission “to enhance the financial well-being of our members and communities.”
Located at the corner of South Sangre Road and West 19th Avenue, the new 2,600-square=foot branch office will provide more convenient access to banking services for current and future members on the west side of town. The branch will feature lending services, a three-station tell-line and three drive-thru lanes, and maximize the credit union’s efficiency and the overall experience for its members. The location is expected to open late 2022.
“As the only financial institution headquartered in Stillwater, and being member owned as well, Oklahoma Community is excited to make this investment to support our growing membership and our hometown with this new full-service location,” says Daniel Thrasher, president and CEO of Oklahoma Community Credit Union. “An early lesson from the recent pandemic, was the need for us to provide our Stillwater members a second drive-thru location. This new location will also assure our membership across North Central Oklahoma that we have the ability to continue service in situations similar to a pandemic or weather events that are common in Oklahoma.”
Since its inception in 1968, Oklahoma Community Credit Union (formerly known as University & Community Federal Credit Union) has grown into an institution that serves 13,000 members in Payne, Pawnee, Logan, Lincoln and Noble counties in central Oklahoma. In June 2021, Oklahoma Community partnered with Eclipse Brand Builders of Johns Creek, Georgia, to design and facilitate a full rebrand that realigned its commitment and focus on the growing community it serves. The rebrand not only honors the credit union’s rich 50-year history, it is also in line with the board’s vision of continual improvement.
For the design and construction of its new branch office, Oklahoma Community once again partnered with Eclipse Brand Builders. Eclipse’s people-oriented collaboration style has resulted in a decision-making process that has prioritized and highlighted Oklahoma Community’s member-focused goals and values.
“Our relationship with Eclipse started with our rebranding, and we’ve had an equally great experience through the design process of this new branch,” says Thrasher. “Eclipse knows how much we value our members and understands our mission to enhance their financial well-being. This location was designed with member experience in mind and will help us introduce Oklahoma Community to future members in western Stillwater.”
