The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A personal injury incident occurred at 08:45 (AM) March 8th (2015) on the I-44, H.E. Bailey Turnpike, at mile marker 106.7 westbound, in McClain County.
Amber Alexander (42) of Oilton was driving a 2006 Toyota SUV westbound on I-44, when she suffered a medical condition ran off the road to the right, going down an embankment, then crossing a ditch, and going back up the embankment. The 2006 Toyota SUV then went through one fence before striking another fence.
Alexander was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital by Grady/McClain County EMS where she was reported to be in good condition with an arm injury. Passengers Aaron Marcum (20) of Glenpool and a juvenile were not injured.
According to reports seat-belts were equipped, and in use by both Alexander and Marcum, and the juvenile was secured in child restraint system. Airbags were equipped but did not deploy.
