The Oklahoma Highway Patrol wants to alert motorists going to the OU/OSU football game tomorrow of road construction that will likely cause significant traffic delays.
There is ongoing construction on the Turner Turnpike in both directions from mile marker 146 to mile marker 148.
It will be narrowed to one lane in both directions.
To avoid possible long delays motorists are encouraged to exit the turnpike at the Wellston exit (m.m.158) and take highway 66 to Edmond where they can get back on I-35 south or take
highway 66 at the Wellston exit to highway 177 south to I-40 west to Oklahoma City.
Drivers need to use caution in the area of the Dallas junction (I-40, I-235 & I-35) be alert to workers, equipment, and vehicles in that area entering/exiting the highway.
