(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A non-injury school bus collision occurred on August 29th (2018) at approximately 07:04 am at 12533 W 91st Street South, approximately 1 mile north of Sapulpa, in Creek County.
Robert Gachas, (50) of Kellyville, was driving a 2011 International school bus, traveling westbound on 91st Street South, when Lasalle Lewellen, (26) of Sapulpa, backed from a private drive in a 2002 Chevy Tahoe and struck the International school bus.
Lewellen was not injured in the collision according to reports.Gachas and his passenger, age 10, were also reported not injured.
According to the DPS report the cause of the collision was improper backing.
