According to a report given to KUSH by Cushing Police Chief Terry Brannon an “urban legend” has surfaced warning “High School” and “College Students” of the following message:
“Do not go t any walmart tonight. Gang initiation to shoot 3 women tonight. Not sure which walmart. And confirmed on tv. fwd to all gurls in ur phone.”
The FBI has deemed this email/text to be an urban legend and no agency has any information as to its validity.
Authorities do however stress the importance of always being aware of ones surroundings. “On any day we should all be prepared and aware of our surroundings.”
