Nadine Pierce, age 78 a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Linwood Village, Cushing. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Cushing.

Nadine was born on August 14, 1930 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Henry Albert and Mae Elizabeth (Pack) Troxell. She grew up in Cushing and attended Cushing schools. Nadine married Odell Pierce on December 28, 1947. She was a homemaker. Nadine was a member of the Church of the Nazarene; she also cleaned the church for a number of years. Nadine loved spending time with her family. Nadine was known for her cooking, especially her pies, chicken dumplings and her Spanish delite. Every Sunday afternoon the children and their families would come over for a delightful lunch. She was on numerous bowling leagues and won many trophies. Nadine enjoyed taking care of others, cleaning homes and ironing for many.
Nadine is survived by her sons Bob Pierce and wife Annie of Mulhall, Les Pierce and wife Leslie of Stillwater, Rocky Pierce and wife Debra of Cushing, daughters Kay Hess of Cushing, Patricia Johnson and husband Bill of Oklahoma City, brothers Cleo Melburn Troxell of Kileen, Tx., Freddie Lee Troxell of Dale, an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and great grandson.
