(Cushing, Okla.)  In the spring of 2013, I had the privilege to be selected as one of 24 Oklahoma State 4-H Ambassadors. This was a great honor and accomplishment for me, considering it was my second year to apply. Ambassadors are a part of the Oklahoma 4-H Leadership Team. We keep 4-H visible around the state, keep relations with 4-H donors and alumni, and tell the 4-H Story. To be able to represent the youth of Payne County at events all over the state of Oklahoma is such a privilege to me. I have recently been able to go beyond that, representing 4-H nationally in Washington D.C.!

To those of you who do not know what 4-H is, it is an organization of youth working with adults as catalyst for change; installing in the youth the meaning of self-importance, leadership, and citizenship skills. 4-H is for ages 9-19. For more information contact the Payne County Extension office at 405-747-8320.

*Annae and her brother Nick are regulars on the morning show on KUSH.  They come in once a month to update listeners on 4-H activities.  Annae was recently accepted to OSU where she will attend after graduating this coming spring.
