(Cushing, Okla.) According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol a collision occurred at 7:15 (am) this morning on Norfolk Road, 1/10 mile north of Fairlawn, located 1 mile east and 2 1/10 miles north of Cushing.
Megan Danielle Harris (25) Cushing was driving a 2001 Honda 4D northbound on Norfolk Road at a high rate of speed while Roy Dale McCall (40) Yale was driving a 2000 GMC Pickup southbound on Norfolk Road. Harris’s vehicle for reasons unknown departed the roadway to the right, overcorrecting to the left, and entering into the southbound lane and where it was struck McCall’s vehicle.
Megan Danielle Harris was pronounced dead at the scene from head, and trunk internal injuries, she was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City. A juvenile whose name has been withheld age 4 (Cushing) was pronounced dead at the scene from head and trunk internal injuries, the juvenile was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City. Roy Dale McCall was not injured.
According to the OHP not all seat-belts were in use and the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
