One of her most exciting honors was when she won high point winner at the Payne County horse show for the 14-18 age division.
When asked why she would like to be Rodeo queen, Kelsi said, “Becoming Cushing Rodeo Queen offers opportunities and challenges that will better me as a person. It will get me out of my comfort zone by talking to other people. I anticipate forging new friendships with the other girls and new friendships in the Cushing community. I look forward to the challenges that hard work can overcome.”
As for future plans, Kelsi said, “I am going to attend Connors State College where I will be on the rodeo team and attending school for agriculture business. After college I want to follow in my grandpa’s footsteps in being a banker.”
