(Cushing, Okla.) KUSH Business Spotlight listeners were treated to a special visit by rodeo announcer Justin McKee and his family on Friday. McKee, known as the Voice of the PBR, has been the announcer for the Cushing Community PRCA Rodeo for 18 years.
The McKees enjoy their visit to Cushing each year during the rodeo and had glowing things to say about the event and the people in the community.
“We like Cushing – sometimes we even hang around for a while after the rodeo,” Justin admitted with a smile. “And as long as they keep inviting us back and the Magdeburgs open their home to us, we’ll keep coming back.”
Paul, Jr. and Brenda Magdeburg play host to the McKee family each year.
“We think of it as a resort,” his wife Jeannie said chuckling. “They are great hosts!”
The McKees have rodeo in their blood and own a ranch in Lenapah, Okla. where they raise cattle and specialize in bucking bulls. Their daughter, 11-year-old Kassidy, currently holds the title of Claremore Rodeo Princess.
