Now that Memorial Day is over, the next big local event is the much-anticipated BBQ & Blues Festival slated for June 6th.
BBQ & Blues Festival is a combined effort – hosted by local oil companies and the Cushing Chamber of Commerce – that features great BBQ, friendly competition and a touch of the blues.
Mayor John Henckel recently proclaimed June 1st – June 6th “Pipeline Appreciation Week” in the city of Cushing.
“I want to thank the oil companies and the Chamber of Commerce for all they do in this community,” Mayor Henckel said.
