(Stillwater) – A Cushing man accused of three counts of first degree murder was back in Payne County District Court on Monday, and a preliminary hearing was set for May 18th at 9:00 AM. Robert Chad Lansford-Barela is accused of killing three people whose bodies were found February 17 at a home in Cushing.
Payne County District Attorney Rob Hudson has said he will seek the death penalty in the case.
Police found the bodies of Elizabeth Hueser, 19, Douglass Peck, 27, and Albert Sernas, 21, inside a home at 814 E. Moses in Cushing on Feb. 17. All three victims died of a single gunshot to the head, according to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
