Mary Jane “Mickey”Chambers, 89, passed away on September 14, 2009. She was born June 10, 1920 in Cushing, OK to George Walter and Ida May (McClure) Sharp. On November 12, 1938 Mickey married the love of her life, George M. Chambers. Together they attended the Midwest City Church of God for nearly 50 years. Mickey enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery, traveling, reading, shopping, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George M. Chambers; son, George D. Chambers; brothers, Sonnie, Oliver and Earl Sharp; sisters, Bernice Harris, Rhoda Goodman, Helen Wood; grandson, Casey Jay Folk. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Folk and husband JC, Janey Folk and husband Richard; grandchildren, Ronn Folk and wife Sandy, Sharon Gatewood and husband Randy, Amy Smith and husband Curtis, Nichole Sanders, Scott Folk; nephew, Leonard Hargrove; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
