Marline Rosetta Boyles, a Ripley resident, passed away on March 5, 2014 at the age of 86 years.
The daughter of the late Harry Cecil Buckles and Gertie Myers Buckles, Marline was born on March 7, 1927, in Ripley. She was raised and educated in Ripley, graduating from Ripley High School.
Marline was united in marriage to Johnnie David Boyles on December 31, 1943, in Ripley. To this union four children, Donna, Jack, Judy and Pam, were born. Johnnie preceded her in death on June 26, 2005.
She enjoyed bowling, participating in various bowling leagues, and had played softball for several years. Marline was an avid basketball fan. She also enjoyed being outdoors and especially spending time at the lake.
Survivors include her four children, Donna Boyd and her husband Melvin of Pryor, Jack Boyles of Ripley, Judy Edgar and her husband Dale of Ripley and Pam Ripley and her husband Dan of Morrison; eleven grandchildren, Michael Rice, Aaron Rice, David Rice, Jackie Lee Boyles, LaTrisha Rasmussen, Toby Miller, Stephanie Sloan, Ashley Newton, Melissa Carter, Niesha Hafner and Danny Ripley; twenty great-grandchildren, Ally Miller, Cole Miller, Kelcyn Regnier, Clayton Carter, Levi Carter, Kaden Ripley, Caroline Hafner, Rhiannon Rice, Ian Rice, Felicia Thomas, Elly Rice, Jenna Carter, Ryan Carter, Canon Sloan, Paislee Boyles, Adaline Rice, Bria Rice, Ashlee Johnson, Stormy Melton and Hunter Melton; one sister, Virginia Austin; two brothers, Vernon Buckles and Harry Cecil Buckles, Jr. and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marline was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Clifford Buckles, Russell Buckles, Guy Laverne Buckles, Cecil Buckles, Orin Buckles, Genevieve Daniel and Elizabeth Soapes.
Services will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Reverend John Coker officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
