(Cushing, Okla.) Drumright 5th grader MaKayla Foster was all smiles Saturday night after being named the 2011 Cushing Community PRCA Rodeo Queen.
MaKayla had some stiff competition from two other contestants, Sierra Underwood and Heather Taylor, but in the end – she prevailed.
MaKayla is the 10-year-old daughter of David and Angela Foster. She enjoys break-a-way roping and has been a member of the Drumright Round-Up Club. She says it has been her dream to become Cushing’s rodeo queen since age five, when her cousin, Natalie Larson won in 2006.
Her future dreams include becoming a veterinarian like her older sister Heather.
