Lukius Lane Priest, a former Cushing resident now of Chester, OK, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Woodward County, Oklahoma at the age of 32 years.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2011 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Priest Family Cemetery near Dewey, OK.
The son of Jimmie Joe Priest and Jean (Boling) Priest, Lukius was born on June 21, 1979 in Bartlesville, OK. He grew up in Dewey and moved to Cushing in March of 2008. Lukius was united in marriage to Katherine Parks on October 25, 2008.
Lukius had been working for West OK Trucking which deals with salt water disposal. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, working on small engines, watching cartoons and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife Katie of the home in Chester, OK; one son, Dakota Lukius Priest; two daughters, Mandi Renee Hunter and Courtney Herren; mother, Jean Priest of Cushing; four brothers, Mark Priest of Dewey, OK, John Priest of Kingfisher, OK, Matthew Priest of California, and Mike Priest of Crescent, OK; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Lukius was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Joe Priest.
