The Cushing Police Animal Control Officer does a fine job in keeping our streets free of abandoned animals, but unfortunately many of those animals end up having to be euthenized – not because they are a danger to the community, but because they have no one to care for them.

According to Rebecca Stowers, Cimarron Valley Humane Society, there are currently several animals facing such consequences in our City pound.  Stowers identified 8 puppies (such as the one shown in the photo) as well as a German Sheperd and two very sweet female dogs – one has been spayed.

If you are interested in adopting one of these animals, please contact the Cushing Police Department at 918-225-1212.
