(Cushing, Okla.) Jim Pickard, President of the local Lions Club International, called the meeting to order today at 12:20 (pm) followed by Lion Russ Thurman thanking everyone that made the annual fruit sales a success, final numbers are not totaled for the sales.

Lions Club then introduced guest and speaker Tracy Caulfield with the Cushing Chamber of Commerce who spoke to the club about the upcoming Christmas Parade (Saturday), Cushing Chamber of Commerce Banquet ( January 15th, 2015) and the retirement of Executive Director Brent Thompson at the year’s end.

Additional guests at Lions Club today were: Executive Director Brent Thompson of The Cushing Chamber of Commerce and Second Vice District Governor Troy Jenkins (Lions Club International).

Troy Jenkins Second Vice District Governor thanked the club for their participation in the Cowboy Cadillac Raffle by awarding achievement pins to the sellers of tickets. Raffle winner names were then given to club members. Names of the winners are: 1st place winner was Aaron Hoggard (Cherokee), 2nd place winner was Randy Orman (Wagoner), 3rd place winner Dale Mullins (Ada).

Lion Lou Griffin then talked to the Lions about the Christmas Party at Noon on December 16th, 2014.

Lions Club will not meet on December 23 and December 30 (2014).

The meeting adjourned around 12:55 (p.m.).

Cushing Lions Club meets each Tuesday at noon in the Lion’s Den in downtown Cushing.
