(Cushing, Okla) Jim Pickard, President of the local Lions Club International, called the meeting to order today at 12:12 p.m. The agenda started with song and pledge by Lion Jerry Snyder. This was followed by prayer lead by Kevin Clouse.
President Pickard spoke briefly about the sales of tickets for the Lions Cowboy Cadillac Contest (drawing for the 2014 Ford F150 Truck) and annual fruit sale (oranges, grapefruits, etc.) that will end November 11 (2014).
Lions of the day were Terry Brannon and John Fechner both with Fechner Pump and Supply (Cushing). John then introduced the guest speaker Travis Ford, OSU Basketball coach.
Tail Twister Kevin Clouse announced the winner of today’s 50/50 drawing; Geoff Beasley won the $25 from the drawing. The meeting adjourned around 1:00 (p.m.).
Cushing Lions Club meets each Tuesday at noon in the Lion’s Den in downtown Cushing.
